Q: How do I set up an appointment?
A: Go to the Online Consulting Reservations page and fill out the session request form. I will get back to you so we can discuss what you would like to learn and set up an appointment. Or you can also call my office at 530-477-8494 (Pacific Standard Time).

Q: What software do you offer training for?
A: Adobe Photoshop CS4 & CS3, Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 1 & 2; Camera Raw; Adobe Bridge CS4 and CS3. I also can provide digital photography instruction and creative mentoring to help you with your imaging projects.

Q: How does the online connection work?
A: Our online connection will be via Acrobat.com and a web conferencing program called Adobe ConnectNow that is secure, fast and easy to use. The voice connection will be via telephone or a Skype call.

Q: Do I have to sign up for a special account to attend a consulting session?
A: No, you do not need to sign up for an account. You can attend the consultation by signing in as a guest.

Q: Do I have to purchase or install special software?
A: No, the conferencing software is web-based and there is no cost to you. As long as you have the latest version of Adobe Flash Player (Flash is installed in most browsers worldwide.) you can see my screen without downloading any software. In order for you to share the view of your screen, you will be prompted to install the ConnectNow Add-in. This is fast and automatic once you approve it. See below for other system requirements.

Q: Is Adobe ConnectNow secure?
A: Yes. Adobe ConnectNow uses some of the latest technology available for Internet security. When you access Acrobat.com, Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology protects your information using both server authentication and data encryption. For screen sharing, you can also limit the applications that can be seen (for example, only Photoshop and Lightroom)  and control the accessibility of your content.

Q: Can I send you copies of my image files for our consultation?
A: Yes. You can email me smaller versions or upload full-sized files. Using your own photos is a very effecive way to explore the possibilities of an image or demostrate specific techniques.

Q: How much does it cost?
A: Custom Online Consulting is $80.00 an hour billed in quarter hour increments. The minimum time for a consultation is 30 minutes. Time spent establishing the conection and getting set up in the online meeting room is not considered part of the official session.Depending on where you are calling from and your phone plan, long distance phone charges may apply to your call.

Q: How do I pay?
A: Payment can be made via credit card or PayPal before the session. Once an appointment has been set up, you will be directed to a payment page with secure payment buttons for various session times .

Q: Are there specific hours that this service is available?
A: My schedule is flexiable so appointments can be made that fall outside of normal business hours. Depending on whether or not I am traveling, appointments can be made between 7am to 10pm Pacific Standard Time.
